Lloyd Dolen is the third generation within his family to be a member of the Alberta Cowboy Poetry Association. This family tradition was initiated by his Grandfather the late Lloyd Dolen of Cochrane, Alberta. Lloyd, who grew up in southern Alberta, loves the "cowboy way" and believes in preserving it in any way that he can. He plays traditional Cowboy Music along with a few of his own and will be releasing his first CD soon. Someone asked Lloyd once if he knew the difference between "Cowboy" and "Country" music. When you hear him you will see that this family man from Strathmore, Alberta knows the difference.
