Hunter Family – Singers

Meet the Hunter family: Dad Lorne, Mom Norma and 5 boys, J.J., Dusty. Luke, Brock, and Ty. They are farmers from southern Saskatchewan who jump into their bus every summer weekend to go singing. Their musical repertoire includes Southern gospel, western, golden oldies, and a cappella pieces.

The four eldest boys have all played hockey at the Junior level or higher. Ty, the youngest at just 14 years old, played AA Bantam in Swift Current this last year. J.J is 27 and played in the Edmonton Oilers organization for 5 years. In 2006/07 he played in the AHL with the Manitoba Moose. Dusty 25, played his Junior Hockey with the Melville Millionaires but suffered an eye injury playing semi pro in Texas, which ended his Pro career. Luke 22, played for 5 years with the Swift Current Broncos in the WHL, he played for one year with the University of Calgary Dino's, and Brock, 20, Played Junior A in Alberta and Saskatchewan but suffered his 3rd concussion which ended his Junior Career. This entire family sings at gospel jamborees, church functions and many community events.
