Window On The West Performers

Prairie Mountain Fiddlers

The Prairie Mountain Fiddlers began in 1986 as a way to bring together all those interested in old time fiddle. Today their playing membership totals 45 to 50 and they have another 40 non-playing members. As well as the fiddlers, some members play guitar, banjo, mandolin, piano, bass and other acoustic instruments. To celebrate Alberta's Centennial in 2005, they completed their 4th recording. They have played sold out concerts at Mount Royal College, the University of Calgary, and the Bert Church Theatre in Airdrie. They have also performed at the Torrington Old Dance Festival, the Chevron Stampede Breakfast, and Heritage Park. Newcomers and beginners are always welcome.
