Lucy Collings’ work is representational with impressionistic uses of light, color and brush stroke. Her subject matter is approachable and accessible as she generally paints the everyday subjects and scenes which distinguish western Canada from the rest of the country. Lucy hikes and skis in the backcountry giving her access to some very beautiful and interesting places. While Lucy paints with both oils and acrylics, she enjoys the consistency of oil paints.
