Drew Sage Hunter was born and raised in Calgary, where he was influenced by western culture. The iconic image of the cowboy captured his attention and he began to create Atomic Western Art, a term aptly describing his trendy and contemporary images. Influenced by popular design and having a flare for colour selection and image placement, The Cowboy Series began. It has encompassed pieces such as “To Kill Ya Sunrise,” “The Good, The Plaid and The Ugly,” and “Dead Men Don’t Wear Floral.” Drew’s art was the main feature this year at the Stampede’s lazy S Restaurant and most recently he was the feature artist in the “Hot New Trends” section at the Calgary Interior Design Show.
