Carol Bortenlanger :: Western Art Gallery Artist
Originally from rural Saskatchewan, Carol Bortenlanger now resides in Calgary and is interested in chronicling our western heritage through her portraits of western mountain historical figures. Although she began with portrait sculpture, Carol now uses mostly graphite to capture the character of her subjects with fine detail and realism. She has studied with master portraitist Marija Pertocevia Bosnjak and is a member of the Canadian institute of Portrait Artists. Carol plans to continue to work on her Western Legends Series.
